The main character is a girl who is an orphan by the name Runjhun. She lives with her extended family relations. Her grandmother is the one who takes cares of her. Runjhun also shares a homestead with her uncle’s who are married. The uncles are three in number and thus it means the home has three sets of kitchens for their wives. Runjhun is treated like a slave in the homestead and she is expected to assist in all the kitchens.
